The December Market Opens Friday

It's already time for the next Birds of a Feather Vintage Market. I can't wait!!! This is only our second market. The first one last month was a big success. Word has gotten out about it so I expect even more people this month. You know what they say...Birds of a Feather Shop Together!

The Birdies (vendors) have all been feathering their nests with the wonderful things they have found this past month.  Moxie Flea and Funky Retro Monkey from Alley Cat have some awesome things. Check out that unique birdcage and the adorable child size wicker rocker.

 

 

You can also find some unique Western items, furniture (some repurposed and some not), a lot of small estate finds and maybe even some true antiques. Kelly Bretschneider with Decorating Details has some beautiful new items to decorate your home with. You'll also want to check out Leili Pearls. She has some gorgeous necklaces and earrings.

 

 

What I love most about the market is having the whole month to comb the sales and dig through the junk looking for special things I can offer for sale at the next market. My favorite find this month is an adorable little bistro set. It needed a little TLC. I cleaned it up (took a lot of scrubbing) and recovered the seat cushions. It really turned out cute!

Don't miss this next market. It's Friday, Saturday and Sunday (Dec. 14-16). The hours Friday and Saturday are 9-5; Sunday 11-5. Vintage Market Opening Friday November 16

The market is almost ready to open! Thank goodness! A lot of work has gone into it. The building needed some sprucing up. It's hard to believe it has been setting there empty for 2 years. It's such a wonderful building and will be a great venue for the market.

I've sure generated a buzz around town. Everywhere I go people are asking me about the market. It will be so much fun bringing everyone together...you know Birds of a Feather do shop together!

 

We've been feathering the nests too. I have some great vendors with wonderful merchandise. It's an eclectic mix of vintage with a few antiques thrown in. You will also find some new vintage-inspired items to decorate your home with.



 

Come see us! Market opens Friday morning at 9:00. Our hours are Friday and Saturday 9:00-5:00; Sunday 11:00-5:00. It's at 617 Ohio in the old Somewhere in Time building.

Birds of a Feather Vintage Market Opening Soon

Okay...it's official! I have decided to come out of retirement. The quest for vintage finds is in my blood. What can I say! After 16 years in the antique business I have switched gears. No more high end furniture, glass and porcelain...now I'm into FUN and FUNKY. I have Pinterest to blame for that! I've always been on the "crafty" side so once I discovered Pinterest it was all over. Now I can't wait to find an old piece of furniture that's been "kicked to the curb" so I can paint it turquoise, pink or some other funky color.

Found this set in a local antique store. I painted it Tiffany Box Blue
which looks good with the original 1930's coral colored pulls.

I had a blast last winter having weekend sales in my empty building (where Somewhere in Time Antique Mall used to be) so I decided to make it a regular event. With lots of space I am able to bring in more people just like me (you know...those who love the QUEST). We're like "Birds of a Feather" hence the name Birds of a Feather Vintage Market. I have a few "Birdies" on board but I'm looking for more little birdies who want to be a part of the once a month market to be held every 3rd Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Birds of a Feather Vintage Market will be a Paris-style flea market offering old, new and unique finds. Our first official market will be held November 16, 17 & 18, 2012. I have so many fun things planned!!! Oh...and once I find someone to rent the kitchen we'll have a place to eat during the market too.
